Maintaining and protecting confidentiality is of paramount importance for me – it is essential in any therapeutic relationship.
Any information you share in our meetings, whether verbal or written, is confidential.
I cannot share your information with any third party (such as another healthcare provider, friend, or a family member) without your explicit written consent.
There are legal exceptions to the above and we will discuss them when we first meet. These include:
- If I have information about child abuse or neglect I am required by law to report this to the proper authority.
- If I have a concern about any risk that you may do harm to yourself or harm to another person then I must take action to ensure your safety and safety of others
- If I am required by law to release information such as receiving a subpoena to court.
