Seeking therapy is a courageous, difficult, and intensely personal step forward. Depression, anxiety, sense of longing for something more, feeling of being stuck, being overwhelmed by circumstances or feelings - most of us experience a combination of these to some degree at some points in our lives. Though there are many reasons for the above, fear often lurks underneath whether we are aware of it or not - fear of not being enough, fear of disappointment, not living up to expectations, fear of change itself even when we know it will improve our lives. The good news is that we are not set in our ways. Brain's ability to change - its neuroplasticity - makes it possible for us to make changes throughout our lives.
It is essential for a successful therapeutic process that you feel heard and understood. I create a collaborative, non-judgmental, and empowering therapeutic relationship where you feel safe talking about and exploring issues that stand in your way. At times, we are not exactly certain what those issues are and we need a safe environment, shared with someone we trust, to expand awareness, investigate possibilities and gather information we need to help get you unstuck and move forward in a desired direction.
